LANAKILA HAS ACCOMPLISHED MANY TASKS THUS FAR. TO NAME A FEW, HE STARTED OUT AS AN ENTERTAINER, SINGER, DANCER AND MODEL. SINCE JANUARY, 2000 MR. WASHINGTON HAS BEEN A BACKGROUND ACTOR APPEARING IN MANY MOVIES AND PRIME TIME TELEVISION PROGRAMS SUCH AS THIRD WATCH, NYPD BLUE, LAW & ORDER AND THE MOVIE ALI. HE IS A COMMUNITY ACTIVIST, TAKING ON THE PROBLEMS OF OTHERS AND BRINGING VICTORY TO THEIR LIVES. HE HAS TRAVELED ALL ACROSS THE NATION AND LIVED IN THE STATES OF HAWAI’I AND TEXAS.
HE WAS THE EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF HIS OWN TALK SHOW, CELEBRITY ENTERTAINMENT PROFILE, WHICH AIRED ON THE BRONX NET CABLE NETWORK.
In August 2001, Lanakila was bestowed with the name by the native Hawaiians. The name means to be victorious, victory. In September of 2001 he became ordained as a interfaith minister.
On September 20, 2004 he became an adoptive parent to Edward Consulta who lives in the Philippines. Lanakila holds a life time relationship with his partner Reggie. Recently moving to Tacoma Washington, Lanakila embarked on freelance photography and putting together this wonderful on-line magazine, after his run for President of the United States in 2008 and US Senate in 2004. Lanakila is the founder and National Chair of his own political party "The Humanistic Party."
